Discover the beauty and quality of hand-woven Alpaca wool! Alpacas,
related to llamas, are smaller and specifically bred for their
ultra-soft hair. With her 2 years of training in weaving at
the Appalachian Center for Crafts in Smithville, Tn., and her
herd of alpacas, Roxane can create a unique treasure just for
you! She uses an 8-shaft Schacht floor jack loom and works with
many natural fibers including linen, cottolin (cotton/linen
blend), cotton, wool, rayon chenille, and of course, alpaca.
Custom work utilizing ikat designs (although labor intensive
with dying, then weaving). And of course, many lovely alpacas
