Cades Cove/Abrams Falls, Great Smoky Mountains National Park  An 11-mile loop road which showcases the Smokies oldest structures from the 1800's! On early mornings, Cades Cove is the best place to view bears, herds of deer and other wildlife! You can drive, walk, bike, or horseback ride all or part of the loop! About halfway around is the 5-mile (round-trip) trail to Abrams Falls, one of the most impressive falls in the park! You can also swim in the crisp waters of the surrounding lagoon. My favorite waterfall!

Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail/ Grotto and Rainbow Falls, Great Smoky Mountains National Park A 10-mile loop road that you can drive, walk or bike. See beautiful overlooks and pristine creeks! Halfway around are two waterfall trails: Rainbow Falls-a long trail which brings you to one of the highest falls in the park and Grotto Falls-a shorter trail leading you to waterfalls that you can walk behind! Don't be surprised if you see my friend, Alan, with a string of 7 pack llamas! This is also the trail that LeConte Lodge uses to haul up their supplies! (and no...you can't ride up on the llamas!)
